History

Non-governmental organization “The Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen” (AFBA) was founded in March, 1994 by students and graduates of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. It was re-registered in May, 1998; January, 2006 and lastly, 2010. “AFBA” has been active for 19 years now, including two short respites. “AFBA”, in its league, unites young financers, economists, businessmen, as well as people of various specialties who are interested in finances, economics and development of business affairs and are involved in above stated fields or currently enrolled in universities. Research centers that are functioning in “AFBA” – The Committee of Economic Politics and Reforms, Budget Office, Business Environment Study Group, Council of Entrepreneurs, Tourism Research Center, The Committee of Banking and Finance, Management group, Sociology and Marketing Research Center, Public Relations. The discussion of projects held by “AFBA” is being open to public, with the involvement of mass-media and representatives of the society. “AFBA” also works with various non-governmental organizations, government, social movements and associations. “AFBA” focuses on professionalism.
