“AFBA”, in the conditions of new government, starts monitoring business environment

\"AFBA” believes, that since the new governing power was elected, business sector felt a relief, is now functioning and evolving in relatively calm environment, compared to the circumstances of the former government. Business environment significantly improved, positive expectations are increasing and what’s important, business started forecasting middle and long term activities. Statements from the government and Premier Minister, that government will not involve itself in business activities and there will be no selective justice, sets positive expectations of the future.

Although, there’s a ground for skeptical doubt concerning restoration of justice for businesses, businessmen and owners. More concerning are the fact, that leave the impression of repression and selective justice for businesses from new government. It is to be noted, that these facts are not taken to the wide scale, but specific cases, we believe, are still alarming, for everything starts from first several facts and if government and society does not respond to it on time, everything might turn back to how it was.

This is why, \"The Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen” is starting to monitor above stated facts and calls for colleges from non-governmental organizations to join the powers.

We consider, that as a result of monitoring and associated actions, we will have an answer to the issue stated by Premier Minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili, whether or not there is repression of businesses and businessmen in Georgia. We believe, we will provide society with argumented answers. Today, we can say, that there are some questions concerning legal prosecution of businessman Chocheli. Also, questions arise from conditions at brewery \"Zedazeni” and company \"Barambo”. It is still unknown, why was the case handed over to the court instead of settling the problems with the dialogue, which originated between small and medium carriers and government. Unknown is the reason, why is Irakli Iashvili getting any adequate answers, when he publicly points out specific issues to the government and is desperately trying to achieve just solutions of the problems. Problematic became the lack of argumented answers on claims to the state from businessmen Tamaz Elizbarashvili and Davit Begiashvili. It is still unknown which approach will the government take towards producers of non-alcoholic beverages, who have claims concerning the problem of unreasonably imposed labels. Above stated issues, we consider, is sufficient for non-governmental sector to be interested in their thoroughness.

\"AFBA” will periodically inform the public with research and monitoring results.
